The Study suggests that sulfur should always be taken 30 minutes before any prescription medications or nutraceutical products including vitamins. Pills and capsules contain silicon dioxide, calcium stearates or other ingredients which block the uptake of sulfur 100%. These agents are sometimes hidden under “other ingredients”.

Someone who weighs up to 200 lbs and healthy, we suggest one teaspoon, (4 grams) TWICE a day. We have discovered that someone who weighs less than 200 lbs should take the same amount of one teaspoon TWICE a day. Make sure you use hot tap water or distilled, filtered water WITHOUT chlorine. Chlorine will deactivate the sulfur and make it useless.

Be aware that some people experience a DETOX reaction initially or a “healing crisis” by taking less than 1 teaspoon of sulfur. Should detox occur or flu like symptoms, its imperative to take MORE sulfur, not less. You cannot take too much.

Proper hydration is a must and necessary since the oxygen for cellular metabolism is in the water that we drink as opposed to the air that we breathe. We use the rule of half your body weight in ounces per day. For example, if you weigh 150 lbs, you need to drink 75 ounces of water per day. Measure it out to make sure you are getting the proper amount.

Many in the Sulfur Study take the sulfur on an empty stomach first thing in the am with a 8 oz glass of non chlorinated water. Wait 30 minutes before any supplement or medications. Then take the second dose 30 minutes prior to dinner. Please be aware that sulfur can keep you up at night if taken too late because of the oxygen transport into the tissues.
